Southerly 38 - 2010 - €235,000 (Around GBP£202,500)
Southerlies have a renowned reputation for being almost the perfect cruising yacht. Having a swing keel allows her to seek the shallowest of anchorages, or get close to a beach and dry out if required, yet with the keel lowered gives a draft of 2.59 meters similar to many racing yachts and allows for a good turn of speed.
Her twin rudders give excellent steering response and this well-mannered yacht is easy to handle with twin wheels, in mast furling mainsail and a self-tacking genoa.
Fitted out in American Cherry veneer giving a warm cosy interior, she feels very much
larger than her overall size. The distinctive deck-saloon style windows give fantastic outside views and ensure the comfortable saloon feels particularly large and airy. The aft cabin is huge and features a full size centreline double berth with extra seating.
Equally capable of local cruising or crossing oceans the Southerly 38 really can do it all,
with comfort and style!
This example has been Professionally Maintained by the current owner, with significant
recent renewals or upgrades including:
New Sprayhood with additional aft screen fitted in 2019
New Saloon upholstery in 2018
Coppercoat Multi-Season Antifouling Professionally applied in 2016
Lying - North West Germany (North Sea Coast)
