The engine is situated beneath the companionway steps in a sound proofed compartment. Engine start panel situated at companionway adjacent to the switch panel and remote greaser for the stern seal.

Single lever engine control in cockpit adjacent to the tiller for easy manoeuvring.

Water - Note, there is no watertank fitted, the original water tank has been removed as the current owners prefer to use bottled water. 

The Cornish Yawl can sleep up to 5 people with a raised double berth in the forepeak, two single settee berths in the saloon and a further single in the pilot/quarter berth. The interior is a blend of wooden and painted surfaces giving a traditional yet warm feel. 

All berth cushions were recently renewed, supplied by Lang & Potter who supply the same quality fabric to new Princess yachts. 

 

Steps from the cockpit lead down into the main cabin. Immediately to port is the door to the separate heads compartment with a sea toilet (New in May 2023) connected to a holding tank (installed in 2019). There is hanging space within the heads compartment so it can double as a wet locker to keep the saloon free of wet clothing. Aft of the sea toilet there is access through the rear bulkhead to a long storage area under the cockpit seating handy for storing bulky, occasional use items such as the drying-out legs. 

Opposite the heads to starboard is the good size chart table area utilising the forward end of the Quarter berth cushion as a navigators seat, with the quarter berth behind. 

 

Forward of the heads on the port side is the galley area with a 2-burner Origo 6000 spirit hob and oven (2010). There is usefully deep storage locker behind the cooker and lockers for provisions above. The chart table is opposite to starboard and doubles as a handy preparation area. The sink is part of the chart table and features hand pumped fresh water faucet. Good storage area beneath the sink/chart table. 

 

The settee/berths are situated either side of the central table which has drop leaves. 

Behind the port settee there is an open shelf, while to starboard there are 3 closed lockers with pale-blue painted doors. 

 

Forward there is a large more or less triangular shaped double berth, the aft 1/3rd of this berth can hinge upwards to open up the forward U-shaped area of the saloon seating. There is lots of storage space beneath the forward berth and under the two settee berths in the saloon.

General note on any safety equipment: Any safety equipment such as life rafts, EPIRBs, fire extinguishers and flares etc. are usually personal to the current owner(s) and if being left on-board as part of the sale of a used vessel may require routine servicing, replacement, or changing to meet a new owners specific needs. 

GRP hull, deck & superstructure with a long keel and lifting centreplate, tiller steering. 

Boat draws only 3ft or 0.90 metre with the centreplate raised and 5ft or 1.52 metres when lowered. This operation is very easy due to the electric winch. 

 

Smart black professionally spray painted hull using a 2 part paint, simulated clinker topsides with contrasting off white/pale grey superstructure. Large self draining cockpit with wooden grate to cockpit sole and cockpit seats. Aft deck with locker storage and mizzen mast. Raised coachroof to give accommodation height. Foredeck with manual windlass and spurling pipe to lead anchor chain to a storage locker near to the keel. Anchor mounted on bow roller for easy deployment.
